Cerro Yungay is one of the most traditional and charming neighborhoods in Valparaíso. This bohemian and picturesque area is perfect for those seeking an authentic experience of the city, close to everything Valparaíso has to offer. The cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and the tranquility of the place invite you to walk and get lost in its history-filled corners.

Just a few minutes' walk away, you'll find Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepción, hills that offer beautiful viewpoints and local art galleries, as well as cafes and restaurants with panoramic views of the city and the sea.

A central place for the neighborhood is Plaza Yungay, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the historic architecture of Valparaíso. Perfect for a leisurely afternoon stroll.

You can't leave Valparaíso without riding one of its famous funiculars, like the Reina Victoria Funicular, which connects Cerro Yungay to the city center.

Just a few minutes by car is the famous house of Pablo Neruda, La Sebastiana, one of Valparaíso's most iconic houses.

The house is easily accessible from different points in the city. If you are traveling by car, you can quickly reach the house from downtown Valparaíso. From the Valparaíso Bus Terminal, the drive is about 10-15 minutes.

From downtown, you can take city buses that will drop you off near the hill, or you can choose to take the funiculars that connect the hills with the city center. The Reina Victoria Funicular is one of the closest and connects directly to the hill, making it easy to access from downtown. Additionally, there are taxis and colectivos available in the area.

There is public parking on the nearby streets, but please note that some streets may be steep.

Arturo Merino Benítez Airport is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes by car from Valparaíso, depending on traffic.
